The CD - LIVE FROM GISBURNE PARK MANOR

Live from Gisburne Park Manor is an eleven track debut album by Duckworth & Duprez and the first complete document of the musical conversation between Mark Duckworth and Ted Duprez. 

Recorded live by Elliot Dryden, the album places two nylon-string classical guitars at the centre of eleven original arrangements, moving between Spanish and South American rhythms, Romantic-era classical influence, jazz harmony and instinctive improvisation.

Across the record, intimate and searching pieces gradually give way to music that feels increasingly open, playful and celebratory. Mixed by Bruno Ellingham and mastered by Brian Lucey, the album preserves the immediacy of the duo’s early sound: expressive, rhythmically alive and built on the tension between two distinct musical personalities.

“Capricho Arabè/Buena” opens with a solo performance by Ted Duprez of the first passage from “Capricho Árabe”, composed by Francisco Tárrega in 1888. The remainder of the track, “Buena”, was written and arranged by Mark Duckworth and Ted Duprez.
